Easter 2012 Version 1.0

We are so very blessed to have so much family that lives close.  With all of that family, we usually have several different events to go to for birthdays, holidays, etc....  It is a lot of fun and Anna Kate and Drew always have a great time.
This past Saturday, we went to our first Easter celebration of the year.  We have been "practicing" hunting eggs with Drew & Anna for the last couple of weeks and they appeared to be getting the hang of it.  Until Saturday night.  It seemed they may have forgotten what they had learned about the art of egg hunting.  And although the egg hunt wasn't a total success, they still had a great time running around, picking up a few of the eggs that had been carefully placed, and getting to spend time with their Garner side of the family.

The egg hunt started off slow but we worked on it.
Getting the hang of it. But where's Drew, you ask?
Well, he was on a mower of course!  He was not at all interested in hunting eggs, but was looking for something with a loud motor that he could go for a ride on.
We finally got him off of the mower and cousin Millie and Uncle Aaron did some coaching.
Easter Bunny Ann did a lot of work to make their first Easter celebration of the year special.  Thanks, Ann for the goodies!
Silly boy! His bucket was empty but he still carried it proudly, for a while.
And she's done. Notice the pile behind her?  She picked most of the eggs up, then dumped her basket and took off!
Drew making friends with Barney.  Sweet Barney is so patient with them.  Especially when Drew kept getting in his facing and waving at him. Ha!

We have a full agenda this week. Stay tuned for Easter 2012 Version 2.0 and 3.0!

**And as a side note, I wanted to mention that Anna Kate peed in the potty tonight for the first time!  We have been putting them on the potty some, especially before baths.  I am sure it was pure coincidence but I'll take it!  We were running their bath water so she couldn't hear it "splash" and wasn't nearly as excited as we were but its a start!
